The era of custom fitting and custom built golf clubs has finally come to the forefront in the golf industry.  Pros such as the likes of Tiger Woods have talked frequently of the importance of custom fit golf clubs.  Articles have been written in all of the major golf magazines extoling the virtues of custom fitting.

If you watch the PGA tour on television, this year you will see a segment where the pros are hitting drives with a launch monitor watching. The commentator then tells you the launch monitor results (swing speed, launch angle, ball speed, and spin) and then discusses how distance would be gained by altering spin or launch angle, etc.
