Q:  How long does it take to get my clubs?
A:  A new set of clubs fitted to your game and made to exact specifications usually takes about a week to 10 days.  We then ask you to come back after several rounds to do any “fine-tuning”  that may be necessary.

Q:  What if I break or lose a club?
A:  We keep records of exact specifications of all of your clubs so we can replace them to match exactly any club in your bag.

Q:  I’ve never heard of some of the brand names on your website.  Are they as good as say Calloway or Titleist?
A:  Manufacturers of clubheads sell to two major markets.  One is OEM’s (original equipment mfg.) and the other is OED’s (original equipment designers).  The company designing the head has their name put on it whether it be a Wishon or a Titleist.  So they are all being made by the same manufacturers and the quality of both is good although the OED companies (Wishon, SMT, etc.) require tighter tolerances because they know that professional clubmakers will weigh each head and will return heads that are not within the required specs.  As far as shafts and grip, we use the same top quality manufacturers as the OEM’s do.

Q:  Why Are “Custom Fit” golf clubs made by a professional clubmaker better than “custom fit” clubs made by the major brand name manufacturers?
A:  First of all, both are top quality products.  But there are reasons why an OED made set is better. 

• First is the quality of assembly.  Assembly line workers stick and glue all day long and never see the finished club or have any idea who it is for.  Here at Country Acres we take great pride in producing the best product to exacting specifications and each club is built to meet the needs of a specific individual. 
•  Next is the quality of the fittiing.  If you have been to your local discount golf store for a fitting you know it is about a 20 minute process.  In many cases it is a very young person that sells on commission.   Many times it is simply hitting clubs out of a fitting cart until you find one that “feels” right.  A true professional fitting will take 1 to 2 hours.  There are 21 fitting variables that we look at.  In many cases we video tape your swing to find out things such as tempo and release point.  The process begins with an interview to find out exactly what it is we are trying to achieve with new clubs. 
•  And lastly, simply put, the same person who has seen your swing, determined your specs and selected the components that work best for your swing is THE SAME person who will assemble and fine-tune your clubs.  THE SAME person who will be there to hand your new clubs to you and watch you hit them.  Any fine-tuning can be done right then or weeks later by returning to see THE SAME person who fit and built your clubs.  Nothing is lost in translation!  If a club is ever lost or broken, THE SAME person can exactly duplicate the original club based on their detailed spec sheet that was generated through the whole process. 

Q:  How do I know the shaft in my driver is right for me?
A:  A simple shaft fitting will answer that.  We look at your swing speed on a launch monitor.  Next we make a video tape of your swing.  From this we determine your tempo, transition and release point.  We take this info and put it into a shaft software program.  This program has hundreds of shafts that have been profiled to determine their butt, mid section and tip stiffness.  The program matches the info we have given it to the shafts that fit your profile.

Q:  How often should loft and lie be checked on my irons?
A:  They should be checked at least yearly, especially if you play forged or soft carbon irons.  The soft metals can get bent out of shape from normal play.  Driving range mats are particulary hard on them. 

Q:  I play steel shafts.  Is there a way to dampen the vibration?
A:  It’s easy and fairly inexpensive.  Pro Soft inserts are installed into the butt end of the shafts.  Ask about it next time you regrip your clubs.
